Welcome to Moondance Alpaca Ranch!

We are in the business of raising happy alpacas and making the best hand felted products possible from their fiber. The ranch is located on 35 acres in the foothills of beautiful Littleton, Colorado. Alicia Marshall (Owner and Designer) made the strategic decision early on that instead of breeding alpacas, she would raise alpacas for their incredible fiber, then design and produce exquisite, felted products from it. Moondance Alpaca Ranch began in 2000 and is a company that strongly believes in using natural resources to create artistic, functional goods with exceptional craftsmanship. The art of felting is something Alicia is extremely passionate about and enjoys teaching others the craft as well.

MoondanceAlpacas.com is your source for artistically designed, carefully crafted, and unique alpaca garments, accessories and wall art. To place your order call Alicia @ 720-635-3914 or send her an email to moondancealpacas@gmail.com. If you would like to have an original art piece designed and made specific to your vision, Alicia would be happy to work with you to create something you will cherish for years to come.

  • Mojave

Mojave is our Bay Black Alpaca born in 2008. He has very interesting color on his neck and face that sets him apart from our other black alpacas. Although, as he ages, his fiber is turning a little more grey. He loves his treats and is more interested in humans than some of the others. His coloring is great for making hats as well as wall art and yarn. His neck fiber is my favorite for felting hats. His blanket is great for softer felt projects and to have made into yarn.

  • Paco

Paco is our White Alpaca born in 2010. He is our only white alpaca. He loves his treats, but doesn’t want much to do with humans. His pure white color is great as a natural color and can be dyed to any color imaginable. His neck fiber is my favorite for felting a hat. His blanket is great for softer felt projects and to have made into yarn.

  • Poirot

Poirot is our Bay Black Alpaca born in 2011. He has white on the tip of his nose and on his neck that sets him apart from our other black alpacas. Although, as he ages, his fiber is turning a little more grey. He loves his treats and tolerates humans. His coloring is great for making hats as well as wall art and yarn. His neck fiber is my favorite for felting hats. His blanket is great for softer felt projects and to have made into yarn.

  • Sunny

Sunny is our medium Brown Alpaca born in 2013. He has a very cute face with a dark nose and is our only brown alpaca. He can be shy at times, but loves humans when they are feeding him treats. His reddish brown coloring is great for making hats as well as other felted projects and yarn. His neck fiber is my favorite for felting hats. His blanket is great for softer felt projects and to have made into yarn. His fiber is definitely the softest of all of our alpaca.

  • Coalton

Coalton is our True Black Alpaca born in 2007. He is our only pure
black alpaca. Although, as he ages his fiber is turning a little grey. He loves his treats and tolerates humans. His black coloring is great for making hats as well as wall art and yarn. His neck fiber is my favorite for felting hats. His blanket is great for softer felt projects and to have made into yarn.

  • Pepper

Pepper is our Great Pyrenees that protects the ranch. She was born in 2015 and has been protecting the alpacas since she was a little puppy. She has the perfect mellow personality of a Pyrenees, but she is definitely on the small side (only about 80 lbs.) We are hoping her small size will keep her healthy a long time. Her favorite spot is usually sleeping in the middle of the alpacas hay.

  • Alicia Marshall

Alicia is the Owner, Designer, & Caretaker of Moondance Alpaca Ranch. She creates unique hand crafted art and wearables from the luxurious fiber of the alpacas she raises. Her products are created with a combination of needle and wet felting techniques that she has perfected over the last 20+ years. Alicia has spent most of her life in the southwest, and the love of her natural surroundings shows up in
    her work.
